Dubai Police have reminded residents and visitors to plan their trips in advance to ensure smooth traffic flow across the city. Authorities advise using public transport wherever possible and staying updated on road conditions and closures to avoid delays and enjoy a safer, hassle-free journey.

Alternative parking and closures

  • Parking is available at:

    • Al Wasl Club

    • Al Kifaf

    • Dubai Mall

    • Zabeel – Dubai Mall

    • Fountain View expansions

    • Boulevard Lower

  • Parking is prohibited on main roads near celebration areas.

Free public parking Free public parking is available citywide on January 1. This excludes multi-storey car parks and Al Khail Gate N-365. Normal parking fees resume on January 2.

  • Additional services will be added at key stations near celebration zones.

  • Tram services will run on extended hours.

  • Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station may close from 5pm if capacity is exceeded.

  • Commuters are advised to use nearby stations such as Financial Centre or Business Bay, which also have parking facilities.
